SAVE
Make AI look for the money you're quietly losing.
Saving isn’t always about cutting the things you enjoy. Often it’s about finding recurring costs, forgotten subscriptions, fees and bad-value spending that nobody has reviewed in months.
Why this matters
Most people don’t overspend in dramatic ways. They lose money in small automatic amounts — a subscription that renewed, a rate that crept up, a fee that was always there. None of it is urgent enough to deal with on a given Tuesday, which is exactly why it survives for years.
The work isn’t difficult. It’s just tedious enough that it never reaches the top of the list. That is the specific kind of problem worth pointing AI at.
Where AI genuinely helps
Recurring-expense audits
Twelve months of statements is a few hundred lines nobody wants to read. AI can group them into recurring charges, one-offs and duplicates, then rank what’s worth a look by size and by how quietly it has grown. You still open the statement to confirm each one.
Subscription analysis
Free trials that converted, annual renewals you forgot, two services quietly doing the same job. Spotting that pattern across months — same amount, same date, a name you no longer recognise — is exactly the kind of tedious comparison worth handing over.
Provider comparisons
Before you can decide whether switching is worth it, someone has to line up what you pay now against what is currently offered. That takes minutes instead of an evening. Prices and terms move constantly, so treat the comparison as a starting point and confirm the live offer before you act.
Spending-leak investigations
Not every leak is a subscription. Fees, rate changes, creeping price rises and habits that quietly doubled all sit in the same data. The pattern can be surfaced for you; which ones actually cost you something you care about is your call.
What AI should not be trusted with
It should not misread a statement and have you cancel something you actually need. It should not be relied on for current prices, contract terms or cancellation penalties — those change constantly, and a confident answer is not a verified one. And it should never be given authority to cancel, switch or negotiate on your behalf.
Use it to find candidates and organise the evidence. Every decision that costs or saves real money stays with you.
Flag first. Verify second. Cancel third.
A workflow may identify a possible saving. That doesn’t mean the saving is real until the charge, terms and alternatives are verified.
